Are you doing History? If so, which one?
Just to collect numbers...
...who's doing history?
I'm surprised at the number of people who I've heard are taking history next year. I honestly didn't think it would be that big. A poll should confirm things.
*Points at poll*
You can give reason why, too.
[Sidenote: Mr Simmons, is it possible to get this thread shifted to the "General Questions about History?" Forum? My fault for dumping this into the Modern History forum, I was a bit absent minded. If it's too much hassle, don't worry - it's not important. Thanks.]
Thanks, Mr. Simmons.

Might do modern and, if I do, I'll do the extention.
BTW, the poll needs the option of both.

Re: Just to collect numbers...
History has always been pretty popular in Baulko. The only reason why there are 11 people in the elective class was because it was only an option for 200 hundred hours. I know a few people who would have picked it if it was 100.

After the advent of history in the last two years, I have now been put off history for like, ever. Chris knows perfectly well why D=

The markers are so tough here. All the people who are average/mediocre at history will get pathetic marks and anyone who is great will get great marks. This results in me getting marks that are ALWAYS under 80% (60% at one time in year

Yeah I agree Thai, history is a rather rigged subject, and it's also especially biased depending on your teacher I think. =S

Re: Just to collect numbers...
I am taking both Modern and Ancient. This is not a poll option. I am sad.

...Just because you don't like it.
And it's not rather rigged.
It's just rigged.

Well obviously if someone was rigged against you, you wouldn't like it.

Well I definitely hate modern history's guts, but I actually quite like ancient, it's far more interesting and it'd be a lot more fun to study. I don't like it enough to do history as a subject though, I don't think I'm going to be doing anything history related in my life haha

Same here, unless it's the history of something very interesting (you know what I mean)

I did, I really did.
I read it twice, and was amazed that someone wanted to study me.
But now my heart is shattered.

Still not sure. I suck at history, but I think maybe that's because I haven't been interested in.. any of the topics that we've done (Well maybe Vietnam will change that). And I would be interested in Moho topics, except the borefest romanovs. So I might do that... But I'll see.

Re: Just to collect numbers...
modern history requires more analytical skills = better, instead of rote learning ancient content
