Re: Course Information
It's a ridiculous amount of theory, which is the most pointless part of computing in general anyway. Do it if you love theory. I'm probably not doing it cause of all the theory. Here's the syllabus.

Re: Course Information
It is a fault with the skin.
For some reason there are two new topic buttons. If you put your mouse over the right hand "new topic" button you will see that it is actually the reply button.
As for the colour scheme, I liked it, but I never have claimed to have good taste!!!
Perhaps over the holidays I'll have time to modify it. Perhaps!!!

Sticky wrote:Ah right. Just looked through the syllabus and the vast majority of it I've already gone though myself. Should be fun though, as one ex-student remarks...you'd walk all over the practical side but the theory will potentially drive you crazy
In other news, I find this forum interface completely unintuitive. Where is the reply button? How do you read the column headers (pictured here)? White on light grey is nearly impossible to read without selecting the entire text and then having a higher contrast, and to get this to reply I had to click quote on my original message and then just delete the quoted text from the reply box.
Yeah, it is pretty dull compared to WBB but that's life. I don't really like the colour scheme used (it looks so bland), but meh.
Also, it seems I would be awful at SDD (never been good at theory w/ computing, haha IST)

Re: Course Information
I think SDD has too much theory rather than practical. Theory for SDD is stupid imo. There is just research on what you are going to code and that should be it.

Re: Course Information
SDD's theory is one of the hardest.
You'll walk over the practical.
But you'll get walked over by the theory,

==" Stop assuming like you've done the theory of SDD. There is a big difference in assuming and recounting.

Re: Course Information
I'm not only jsut assuming.
I'm passing on what others have said.
So therefore it's an educated assumption
and I had a brother who did SDD, and it was the hardest out of all his subjects.
Meh, who cares how hard it is.
As long as you put effort into it, you'll be fine...
