Can we request teachers

are we allowed to request for certain teachers

I'm quite sure changing teachers is a no-no. Because last year there were class lists for Yr11. And next to it was a sign saying something along the lines of...

"WE'RE SORRY, BUT YOU CANNOT CHANGE CLASSES. REMEMBER: EACH TEACHER IS COMPLETELY CAPABLE OF GETTING YOU THROUGH THE HSC"

So yeah, if you have any personality clashes, get 'em fixed - because there is no running away.

And yes Kapilan you're going to get expelled BECAUSE WE ALL KNOW CURIOSITY KILLED THE CAT

God is it really possible to get in trouble at school because of what you say on an internet forum? You must be literally living in fantasy land if you think the internet is loaded with people who will type like they are the nicest people in the world. Obviously, direct attacks against other students/teachers would get you into.... trouble but asking questions/stating your opinion... no.

Use strikethrough or use the subheading "EDIT:" when you edit posts. It's called internet etiquette. It lets people see how much of a dolt you are what the first half of the thread was about.

And what Kai said, you have to be fair to the student and teachers.

It may be hard to believe, but teachers are human too.

You'll do well with a "easy going" teacher because you'll enjoy the lessons a bit more.

You'll do well with a "tough" teacher because you'll not enjoy the lessons so much but will ultimately learn more.

I don't see the problem really.

I highly doubt that you can request a teacher...

Man up if you don't get the teacher you want. Maybe the "bad" teacher in the end will be better.

well if they are sorta lazy it might affect your marks

Teachers do affect you ! If you have a lazy teacher, you're gna have to put in double the effort in order to get a reasonable outcome. But then again, maybe all the extra effort will benefit you in the end.

Too true
We find out our teachers when we get our timetables, I assume. Except we'll get it earlier for some subjects (science and maths), they post up the classes.

I agree as well. Teachers can absolutely kill a subject for you, making it boring and whatnot. Which is the main reason I wrote off history for years 11 and 12 quite a while ago. What about you Chris, how do you feel about history? Still studying up on Sir John Kerr? ;D
