Re: Teacher for this subject?
This year at any rate is by Mr. Hopper.
But apparently there's a lot of work (like written homework and assignments) with Photog. I was going to do it, but now I'm kinda put off. SLRs are pretty awesome though.

IDK, it could be any of the art teachers really, since all of them are pretty skilled at working a camera. I'd be expecting Mr Hopper the most since he usually does it I think, but it could also be Miss Eakin or Mrs Berlehner.

Yeah Berlehner took Year 9 photog. That was pretty awesome. Except for the Digital Media component.

Re: Teacher for this subject?
The digital media was mediocre at best (no pun intended, even though it's not much of a pun, but anways...). It were hindered mostly by the lack efficient tools to work with. Like remember the computers restarting with photoshop? and the leger thing would have been so much better if we had graphics tablets. (now on that topic, i think the school should buy some graphics tablets. Digital media is not complete without graphics tablets IMO.) Well with the digital media aside, I enjoyed learning how to use an SLR and how to develop film. (and the endless hours of trying to get the one photo the right contrast and brightness.)

I personally absolutely loved PDM last year. Except in Digital Media I just bludged in class and did most of my work at home, but I still really enjoyed it.
And as someone said before, all the Art teachers can teach Photography.

Re: Teacher for this subject?
I didn't enjoy PDM too much last year.
Apparently the Yr11 course involves a lot more theory than it does practical, but I guess it will be enjoyable to take up.

I'd love to do photography theory.
Photography theory is still photography and if you're passionate about it, it doesn't matter if it's theory or practical.

Ahaha yes you'll be taking marvellous pictures of an abandoned red hat that has been randomly left in the middle of the G block corridor.

I'm pretty sure you can do photography in VA, even if you don't do it in year 11 you can do it, or at least partly do it for major work
