I actually chose Japanese in Yr 7 but I missed out and did latin instead. But if I could choose again and get in I would still pick Japanese...
Hmm...things would be so different right now

lol cause anthony was so epic and he got 100% for latin while everyone else did pretty crap, everyone got scaled up bigtime and so did he. Talk about average hijacking.

Re: German vs French vs Latin vs Japanese
From a person who is not doing Latin next year and is angry that he can't do it. Its a really good subject. Really like most of u are, if u did the reccomended 15 minutes a day or even maybe a little revisoon every weekend, then u will thorughly do well at Latin. I would love to do it, however as my basis isnt there so I would fail at it next year. Not only does the subject scale well but it is also heaps of fun with Mrs pigram. But the subject is interesting anway. So yeah..... i think we shoudl start educating year 6's on how good latin is. Well there is a stigma attached to it.... which i personally believe shpuldn't exist

Re: German vs French vs Latin vs Japanese
But jap is so much more fun!! Unlike the dead language that is latin. who speaks it? isn't language there to communicate with other people? if so, and since no one speaks latin anymore, doesn't that mean it technically isn't a language?
Anyways, jap is awesome!! I'm sure any body who sees a random curry walking around with leaflets saying "DO JAPANESE" would do it, cause curries are awesome, and who knows of a curry who knows of many curries who do jap?!!

Yes, it was terrible. I don't think it was that bad a language though. It failed because of other reasons.

it really wasn't that bad was it? and the language itself is quite good.
