Well I'm not doing it for the assumed knowledge, but I'm doing it because I have nothing else to do o_O

Chemistry's awesome. =D
I'm probably doing chemical engineering or something similar in uni, and I'll be needing chemistry for that, so i'll be doing it for both reasons.

Most people wouldn't even think of doing chem becuase it's doesn't seem interesting. Just remember Dumas talk about Legal!!! Wasn't that interesting!! But i don't have any free units for it and it doesn't scale well
But yeah, i'm only doing chem cause of dentistry.

I'm doing chemistry because I can blow stuff up! Like sodium + water. Fun.
Plus it's a massive assumed knowledge for us asians.

the number of chem students reflects our interest in science uni fields

Chem only because it's easier than physics and you have to pick at least one science don't you =P

You don't have to.
Anyway, I've had terrible experience with chemistry (chem test this year) so I'm not terribly comfortable about doing it but I guess it's just studying and working hard.

Re: chemistry and uni
chem is much harder than physics, because everything builds up

Yes like Thai says I really need to work hard in chem too.

Chem is not necessarily harder. It really depends on what type of person you are. i.e if you're good at maths you'll probably find physics easier. And what do you mean by "everything builds up"?

LOL, that's an oxymoron in itself.
Yeh, i'll probably do no sciences, especially not chem
